Small and large period organisers side by side, showing the difference in size between the two

Small or Large: which period organiser should you get?

Take the Small if it lives in a handbag and gets topped up at home every few days. Take the Large if it needs to cover a whole heavy period without restocking, or if it lives in a bag you only pick up sometimes.

If you're torn, take the Large. It's five dollars more.

What the tampon loops mean in practice

Four will see you through a day comfortably, and probably two if your flow is lighter. It assumes you're somewhere you can restock most evenings.

Ten is a different proposition. It covers a whole heavy period without going home for more, or a week away without thinking about it, and it's enough that you can hand one to a friend without counting what's left.

The pocket nobody thinks about until later

The Extras pocket sits behind the calendar and runs the full width of the case. In the Small it takes a spare pair of underwear. In the Large it takes more than one, plus wipes, plus whatever else you want in there.

For a lot of people the spare underwear is the single most reassuring thing in the case. If that's you, the Large gives you room to stop rationing it.

Who each size suits

Small: a daily handbag, a school bag, a desk drawer, a light to moderate flow, or anyone who'd rather it disappeared into the bag entirely.

Large: heavy days, twelve-hour shifts, travel, boarding, sport, a car glovebox, or the second one you keep in the bag you don't carry every day.

Or one of each

Most people who end up with both aren't being indecisive. It's that moving a case between bags is the step that fails. One in the handbag and one in the gym or overnight bag means there's nothing to remember and nothing to transfer.

Take one of each and $10 comes off automatically. See both in all five colourways, or look inside each one first.

If you're choosing for a school bag or for a trip, there's more detail in what to put in a period kit for school and what to pack for your period when you're travelling.
